A businessman from Crewe is on a mission to help struggling small firms in the UK access the finance they need to help cope with the effects of the recession.
Tony Pegg, owner and managing director of Altrincham-based United Kapital, has promised to help change the way business finance is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Britain.
A spokesman for the company said: "Hes taking on traditional bank loan and overdraft facilities with easily accessible finance to SMEs, whilst also targeting independent retailers, hospitality and the leisure sector."
"With lending from major banks still weak, and banks withdrawing £3.5bn of credit in June, it is the countrys small businesses that still struggle to secure affordable funding ."
United Kapital offers a flexible alternative to a small business loan . The companys Cash Advance for Business program provides customers with a lump sum to use as working capital, which is then repaid through future credit and debit card sales.
Mr Pegg said he was confident that the Cash Advance scheme would "transform" the UKs business lending market.
"United Kapitals Cash Advance is unique," he commented. "Our product is specifically aimed at SMEs and independent retailers who continue to struggle to secure working capital from banks ."
