Loan Fund Offered To Businesses In Doncaster

Doncaster-based enterprise agency Donbac has been awarded a contract by Doncaster Council to help local businesses gain access to much-needed finance .

Through the new Success Doncaster business loan fund, Donbac will be able to lend to companies that are struggling to negotiate funding from the banks .

The loans are available to businesses in the borough for a wide range of purposes, from buying essential business equipment to providing working capital for wages and cash flow.

Businesses that high street banks may consider a high risk may also be eligible for the finance scheme as no security is required on the loans .

Jonathan Wood, the council's cabinet member for business and new enterprise, said: "The loan funds available through Success Doncaster are an excellent example of one of the many advantages local businesses can gain from working with the programme."

Donbac, which has been operating in the borough since 1989, has so far helped save 100 local jobs this year.
