An online farmers' market has received a £30,000 cash injection by Partnership Investment Finance (PIF) to help expand the business .
Paganum Produce, setup last year by Chris Wildman and Heather Mitchell in Kirkby Malham, Yorkshire, specialises in selling Yorkshire Dales beef, lamb and pork from local family farms.
The pair said the loan is being used to target more trade outlets and to add poultry and more sausages and burgers to its current product range.
The company has also used the funding to purchase a chilled van to distribute produce in Yorkshire. Customers from other parts of the UK can have their meat delivered by courier.
Mr Wildman commented: "The loan has provided a useful injection of capital which will allow us to expand the business faster."
He added that he was well aware of the excellent quality of Dales meat and that people all over the UK would be keen to buy our produce.
PIF investment manager Jonathan Craig said: "Were impressed by Paganum's growing database of loyal customers and their structured marketing plan ."
"There is an increasing market for high-quality locally produced meat, so we think Paganum Produce can thrive by meeting this demand."
