East European banking customers looking for business loans may be interested to know that HSBC has officially unveiled dedicated facilities for Polish entrepreneurs.
Located in Ealing, Hammersmith and Kensington in west London, the Polish Business Units are designed to appeal to Poles who have set up their own company since moving to the UK.
Polish employers will be able to gain financing advice on a range of issues, such as business loans, online banking and automated pay-in services.
Alan Keir, global co-head of commercial banking at the banking institution, explained the idea.
"We're tailoring our commercial services to the diverse needs of companies and communities in the 21st century by offering a dedicated Polish Business Unit," he said.
"It's a unique development in the banking industry."
Many Poles opted to move to the UK after May 1st 2004.
On this date, Poland joined the EU and international border restrictions between the east European country and the UK were relaxed.
More recently, on January 1st 2007, Bulgaria and Romania also joined the EU, which could potentially lead to further demand for UK banking services from foreign nationals.
