Business loans customers have been put on alert following news that a financial services provider has opened a new specialist branch on the south coast.
From today, financial services company Alliance & Leicester is offering employers the facility to access a complete range of banking services at its new business centre on George Curl Way, Southampton.
It raises the possibility that company bosses will be able to consult with specialist financing advisors on the possibility of obtaining low-rate business loans, agreed overdrafts and other credit facilities.
Commenting on the venture, Marcus Collie, head of Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank's southern counties business centre, explained that the move reflected the impact of an economic boom in the city.
"Southampton is experiencing an unprecedented period of growth," he said.
"Local businesses are reaping the rewards of inward investment in the region and looking to expand and develop off the back of the positive economic climate."
In other Alliance & Leicester news, the financial services provider launched an attack on the perceived graduate bias of other banking institutions earlier this month.
While unveiling a new current account range for young professionals, Alliance & Leicester's current account manager Helen Palmer said that many banking organisations had a "tendency" to reserve the best financing deals exclusively for people who have attended university.
