New business banking deals for small businesses

Small companies could benefit from NatWest's new business banking offer.

A new business start-up package is available to help small companies with a range of special, tailor-made financial services.

Small firms can get additional help from face-to-face support from 100 new business managers in the bank's local branches.

This initiative stems from NatWest's belief that small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy, said the bank's director of business banking, Pete Ferns.

The business banking start-up package targets six key areas to help ensure small businesses with business planning, cash flow management, finance, sales and marketing, and advice.

New business banking customers also receive fee-free business banking for up to 18 months, with an additional six months' discounted business banking.

The start-up package includes additional discounts on website building, insurance, and the purchase of a car or van.

Mr Ferns said that NatWest recognises business owners' need for a combination of free business banking and discounted offers, "but most importantly, advice and guidance from a dedicated business manager".

He noted that the start-up package and the extra branch-based business managers mark NatWest's commitment to ensuring the continued success of the small business market.
